The Cornerstone Gallery proudly presents the first dot-art group show. The exhibition showcases a selection of work by artists represented by dot-art, and demonstrates their range, diversity and talent.
The artists on show range from the well established and respected such as Peter Corbett, who was the subject of a retrospective exhibition at last years Liverpool Biennial and Alex Corina, who was responsible for the "Mona Lennon"; to those who graduated from art school less than a month ago, including Katy Rees and Dani Lisney. The wide variety of age, experience and expertise of these artists can be seen in the exciting and stimulating contrasts of both media and subject found in the exhibition. Jason Jones, gallery manager at the Cornerstone talks about the show -
"What really drew my attention to giving dot-art the opportunity to promote themselves collectively is the variety of expertise of artists. Having the likes of Alex Corina and Peter Corbett who are known in Liverpool and further afield, showing work alongside recent graduates this year, is a wonderful example of how Liverpool artists should be celebrated. It embraces the known and the emerging, and it something that is relatively unique." About dot-art.
