Hello,

I am just interested to know what everyone is reading/listening to and what sites people are visiting in there quest to become serial entreprenuers.Since i have become a 'wantrapreneur' a few months ago and that switch in my head went off, i have been trying to find every useful recource and advice i can find.Amongst the great recources i have found was Startup Nation. It is an American recource for entreprenuers and includes Podcasts, blogs, community, how to guides etc.Its great and the founders two Amercian entreprenuers are so enthusiastic its contagious! They also have a book out called 'Open for business' it was a great guide for me and is delivered in a simple and informative way.
Another site i found was small biz pod.It is a podcast series upto episode 40 now i think.I downloaded them all and because it is a british podcast i found it was good to get a british persepective on running a small business, full of some great interviews advice etc.
I also recently read Duncan Bannatynnes auto-biography.In case any of you dont know he is the Scot from the Dragons Den.It was a great read and definately recomended, it gives you a real sense of self belief because the way he seemingly makes a fortune in an effortless way & as he was'nt really intrested in business untill he was 30 and then decided he wanted to be a millionaire..and so he did.
I am currently reading a few books, one is the famous 'rich dad poor dad' i love the lessons of this book and it is one most if not all entreprenuers agree with, the need to educate the youth of today in 'making money work for you instead of working for money'.Some great examples in this book, even if it is at times a little repetetive the message hits home. The other book i am reading is Steve Parks-How to start your Business week by week.It seems quite good so far but some of it can be skipped depending on the status of your start-up.Steve Parks has a range of books and podcasts on flying startups.
A forum i have been recently active in is 'Singing Pig' its a great forum with a range of u.k business subjects.

Well thats all for now, anybody else have good recomendations of info which can help fellow start ups?.I reckon it is vital when starting up to get every little bit of advice, opinion, experiances, and recources you can on the Internet and anywere else.Do everything to learn in the early stages and try and educate yourself because there is a lot to know....the most important thing is to learn never to stop learning!!!

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book I've heard a lot of people recommend, but haven't gotten around to reading. I say 'read', but I tend to prefer audiobooks whenever there's the option. Whoever said men can only focus on one thing at a time haven't seen me attempt to sit down and read a book!

You might also find The Richest Man In Babylon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Richest-Man-Babylon-George-Clason/dp/0451205367) of interest.

Whilst I agree about perpetual learning, I would advise against 'informational overload' or 'analysis paralysis'; both can kill your ability to take action.

There's a whole lot to be gained by taking action and learning from experience. Mistakes often make the best teachers!

Good observation about the information overload, i think thats were the ability to prioritise and manage the more important imformation comes in handy in terms of what action is required for the sepicific aspects of the business.
